The Hoquiam River forms from several large tributaries that merge near the coast into one channel and then flows south for 6 miles (9.7 km) to Grays Harbor, passing through the city of Hoquiam, Washington.
Swantown Slough was located in South Puget Sound, at the head of Budd Inlet in Olympia, Washington.
